GYBR 2013 has again teamed up with Virgin Money Giving to allow you to raise sponsorship online if you wish to do so. This is a not-for-profit wing of Virgin and gives the event and the charities an excellent service.

The Virgin system can only split your donations between a maximum of five charities. All funds raised this way (plus the reclaimed Gift Aid) go directly to the charites from Virgin and are included with other donations sent by post in cheque form, or by BACS and other donations in the GYBR final total.

The percentage of the total to each charity is fixed as stated below and on your sponsor form. The direct donations thorugh Virgin form a part of the total funds and go towards the final total and the split percentage as listed.

This is the split of the total funding for 2013, of which the Virgin donations form a part for five of the listed charities only.

GYBR Main recipient charities: Heart Research UK 10%. Ryedale MENCAP 10%. Candlelighters Trust 10%. Epilepsy Research UK 10%. Yorkshire Cancer Research 10%. Martin House Children’s Hospice 10%.  Hollybank Trust 10%. Wetherby Lions 19%

    Subsidiary charities: Jennyruth Workshops 5%. St John Ambulance 2%. Ryedale Special Families and Wilf Ward Trust 2%

     + smaller donations to sports clubs, youth groups and other charity groups who help out and support on the day of the ride.

Simply click on any of the 5 links below to take you straight into the event registration page in Virgin Money Giving to start your online fundraising. Once into any of the pages simply click on the big "Next" button on the right. (please do not click on the other start fundraising button at the bottom of the page, if visible) and follow the instructions to build your own GYBR page within the event.

Then simply click on the large "Start Fundraising" button on the right hand side under the calendar, Please do not click on any of the links at the bottom of the page.

Please do not create pages on Justgiving or any other sites as we will not be able to trace your donations or log them to your rider accounts.
