GREAT YORKSHIRE BIKE RIDE PRESENTATIONS - 9th NOVEMBER 2008

Once again, riders, charity representatives and event supporters gathered at the Ramada Jarvis Hotel, Wetherby to celebrate another successful year for the GYBR. The awards evening, hosted by the Event Organiser, John Taylorson MBE, celebrated the efforts of the riders and the commitment of the sponsor companies and the work put in by the recipient charities. The ride continues to go from strength to strength and all we need for 2009 is a decent day.

Prizes were awarded to our top donating individual riders and teams, listed below and cheques for the proceeds of the 2008 ride were presented to the charity representatives.

The sponsorship total for 2008, at the presentation date was a £110,724 (see website front page for current total). The organisers are hoping that this figure will still rise with further donations that are still to come in. At the presentation date 1,090 riders out of the 1,629 starters had made a donation to the sponsorship total.
